Brighton & Hove Albion goalkeeper Carl Rushworth is on the verge of a club-record £22.5m move to Coventry City, with the deal potentially rising to £30m including add-ons. The 25-year-old spent last season on loan at Coventry, where he won three player-of-the-season awards under Frank Lampard.

Rushworth, who joined Brighton from non-league Halifax Town in 2019, never made a first-team appearance for the Seagulls.
